At Bowen Eye Care our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients and staff members. In this unprecedented time of global pandemic, we are deeply concerned about everyone.
We have a responsibility to our patients, staff members, and the greater community to help ensure good health and to decrease the spread of COVID-19.
Our office continues to perform the best practices for infection control according to guidelines put in place for optometry practices according to both the CDC and OSHA.
In light of the evolving situation and out of an abundance of caution, we kindly ask any patient who shows signs of a cold, flu or respiratory distress, has a fever, or has been exposed to a potential COVID positive person to RESCHEDULE at a later date when they are no longer ill or out of the period of suspicion for COVID exposure. We ask our staff members to do the same.
Social distancing is encouraged in our waiting room and we might ask that you wait in your car should the waiting room have too many occupants. We require masks upon entering our office if you are over the age of 10 unless you have a medical condition diagnosed by your physician which specifically states that masks should not be worn.
We ask that you come to your appointment by yourself if you are 18 and over unless you need someone to assist you during your exam.
We are temporarily discontinuing our instruction classes for new contact lens wearers. We will however provide an instructional video online so that you may learn in the privacy of your own home.
Thank you for your understanding,
Bowen Eye Care
